Charitable Bequest / Gifts

Charitable Bequest / Gifts

What is a Charitable Bequest and How do I make a Charitable Gift?

Many clients wish to include a favorite charity or their church in their Estate Plans. Everyone is different. Some want to include a gift that keeps on giving such as a scholarship fund.

Remember… it is your money; and we can help you achieve your goals and create a plan that allows you to leave your assets to whomever you want under whatever conditions you specify.

Charitable bequest can be outright gifts in set amounts, a percentage of the total estate, a specific asset or specific account. Some examples of charitable giving:

  • Giving real estate to a land trust for preservation.
  • Giving real estate to be sold by the charity.
  • Leaving a greatly appreciated investment or stock to a charitable organization.
  • Creating a family foundation to provide scholarships to relatives or others who meet criteria set by you.

Charitable Bequests can help others and leave a gift that keeps on giving.
